Thanksgiving

Here are pictures of TJ, Lola, and I going to pick out and cut down our Christmas tree! We had to go to some hick town 45 minutes outside of Charleston to find a tree farm. Also, the bottom picture is of TJ and his family here for Thanksgiving dinner!

Gatlinburg Trip

TJ and I took a weekend trip to Gatlinburg and drove through the Smoky Mountains. We had so much fun and it was great to get away for a little while! We got to see some fall colors, but most of the trees were already bare. Lola loved it!

Fall in Charleston

Sorry I haven't posted anything in awhile. Life has been busy! My first semester of grad school is coming to a close very quickly! I have tons of projects and papers to finish up in the next few weeks, I have a trip home for a few days, and then TJ's dad, sibs, and grandparents are coming for a visit for Thanksgiving. Then there's only 2 or 3 weeks til we go home for Christmas Break! We are finally experiencing a cold day in Charleston. Today the high is only 54-- But by Sunday it will be 79! What a joke! I can't believe its going to be almost 80 in NOVEMBER! That's all for now. Love, Lizi

Mom Visits Chas!

Mom came for a week long visit to help me make my wedding dress! We had so much fun!

Today I took the hardest test I've ever taken! But this past weekend we had fun! (maybe that's what it was so hard?) On Sunday we went with another couple to the beach and went finishing and then out to dinner. (Convertible rides all the way) It was a blast! Days like that must be why we live here!

TJ's Triathlon

TJ ran a triathlon today where he had to kayak, bike, and run. It was actually pretty exciting! He did very well and got 2nd in his age group! Apparently all that kayaking this summer has paid off!

Finally 21!

We went all the way back to Michigan for my birthday! We stopped in Virginia to pick up my new car and still made it for a birthday party at my parent's and a couple drinks at the bar at midnight! It was a CRAZY weekend!

Mackinac!

TJ and I had been excited to go back to MI and visit Mackinac the WHOLE summer! So we finally made it up there and had a blast. TJ's family even made it up there to see us one day.

Mom and Kate Visit!

Mom, Kate, Shelby and Ava brought me back to SC and stayed for a week! We had too much fun! We saw it all, the college, shopping, the beaches, downtown, even the junk stores!

Fort Moultrie

On "Carolina Day" TJ and I visited Fort Moultrie on Sullivan's Island. It was very educational ;-). The fort sits near the mouth of the Charleston Harbor and was built to protect the harbor. It has been around for 200 years and showcases the changes that have been made in all those years. A lot of the fort was underground -- which was a bit claustrophobic. Also, it was about 97 degrees that day!!

Carolina Sunset

Lola is so well adjusted now she will even stick her head out the window!! See? It just took a little time and love :-)

Kiawah

We visited Kiawah resort when TJ's grandparents came to visit us. The top picture is at Mingo Point, where the Kayak trips leave from. The middle is the path from the hotel to the ocean, and the bottom picture is in front of the beautiful hotel!

June Update

Hey everyone,
Sorry we haven't updated in awhile... my computer power cord is broken so I can't access my pictures! We have been having a great time down here, taking Lola to the beach and hanging out at the pool. On Monday we went to the Mexican restaurant by our house and it was DELICIOUS! It gave Aunt Chris' joint a run for its money! I am coming home on June 30th and I can't wait to see everyone. TJ's work is going well - he is taking lots of kayak trips and fishing in the surf. See you all soon!

Surf Adventure

Last night TJ and I went out to eat at Woody's on Folly Beach. Then we went over to the water to try out TJ's new surf board! (I stayed on dry land and read my book) We will put up more action pictures when we get 'em! Notice how legit he looks in the first pic. Oh, and don't forget... Lola the shark dog!

Today it is pouring cats and dogs out but we had a very nice beginning of the week. TJ and I bought new beach chairs and spent Tuesday on the beach on Wednesday at the pool!

New Couch!

Pool Day

This morning I got up early and went garage sale hunting while TJ slept in. :-) I found a wonderful project for us to work on! I bought a bookshelf for $10. Who knew garage sales could be so fun? Last night TJ and I watched the movie Notorious. It was very educational! I had no idea all of that was going on just a year before Britney Spears came out.
TJ's boss called last night and told him the morning program was canceled so he didn't have to go in until 11. So I decided we should go sit by the pool, and even if you go to the pool at 9 a.m. it is hot as blazes out there. Here are our pictures of TJ doing wild cannonballs off the benches near the pool.

Life at our New Apartment
